US. Changes in weather patterns have been eating into the profits made by soybean farmers, causing $11 billion worth of losses over the past 20 years, according to researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This massive loss has been hidden, in effect, by the impressive annual growth seen in soybean yields thanks to other factors.

India exported 6.46 lakh tonnes of soybean meal in FY15, registering a decline of 77.25% over the previous financial year (2013-14), when soybean meal exports were 28.41 lakh tonnes. The figures were released by Soybean Processors Association of India (SOPA) on Wednesday.
